A three-day National Tribal Literature Festival will be organised here from April 19 to 21 at the Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium.
It would have an art and painting competition and a literature and tribal dance festival, said Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam on Sunday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the event on April 19 and the chief guest on the final will be Governor Anusuiya Uikey while Renuka Singh, the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, will preside over, he told the media.
He said writers, professors, researchers and subject specialists from Jharkhand, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh and other states will take part in the event.
A book fair will also be held.
The Chhattisgarh Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI) is hosting the event as part of the 75th year of Independence.
