A way with words: Punjabi literary magazine ‘Lafznama’ launched

The first edition was launched by Dr Sujit Patar, chairman, Punjab Arts Council, and IAS officer Dr Sumita Misra, chairperson, CLS.

To celebrate the culture and language of Punjab – the land of five rivers – Rhyvers Press recently launched its Punjabi literary magazine ‘Lafznama’ in collaboration with Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS) at Punjab Kala Bhavan, Sector 16, Chandigarh.

The first edition was launched by Dr Sujit Patar, chairman, Punjab Arts Council, and IAS officer Dr Sumita Misra, chairperson, CLS.

“Lafz means words and Nama means pen/letters… Lafznama, I feel, lends a beautiful meaning and substance to the magazine, and reflects our passion and vision,” said Affan Yesvi, director of Rhyvers Press.
