WHAT IS WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH?

Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women's Day on March 10, and during October in Canada, corresponding with the celebration of Persons Day on October 18.


HOW CHILDREN'S LITERATURE IS OFFERING RESOURCES FOR WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH?

March is Women's History Month, and the Children's Literature Collection has a variety of materials to help celebrate. A virtual book display created by Tucker Moretta, a libraries graduate assistant, working with Laura Cameron, education librarian, features relevant books and lesson plans. Physical books are also on display in the Children's Literature Collection, located on the lobby level of Mullins Library in the northwest corner of the building.
